The Product

How accurate are the moon phases?

Very accurate. We use SunCalc.js, which calculates moon illumination from precise astronomical data. The phase shown for each date is the actual lunar phase at midnight UTC on that day — the same moon that was in the sky.

Can I use any dates?

Yes — any date from 1 January 1900 onwards. Birthdays, anniversaries, first meetings, graduations, the day you got a dog — whatever matters to you.

What does the print actually look like?

Three moons stacked vertically on a deep black background. Each moon shows the exact illumination for that date — from a thin crescent to a full circle. Below each moon, the phase name (e.g. 'Waxing Gibbous') and your date are printed in a subtle serif font.

What sizes are available?

30×40 cm, 50×70 cm, and 70×100 cm. All are portrait orientation.

What frame colours are available?

Black, White, Natural Oak, Walnut, and Gold. Frame colours are only relevant for framed prints — if you order a print-only, the frame colour selection is ignored.

Ordering

How do I pay?

We use Stripe Checkout — a secure, hosted payment page. We accept all major credit and debit cards. We do not see or store your card details.

Can I edit my order after placing it?

If you need to change your dates or options, contact us as soon as possible at hello@pictoor.com. We can make changes if the print has not yet entered production.

Do I need to create an account?

No — we're a guest checkout only store. No account required.

Shipping

How long does delivery take?

We print and ship within 2–3 business days. Standard delivery is 3–5 business days in Ireland and the UK, 5–10 days in mainland Europe, and 7–14 days internationally.

How is the print packaged?

Print-only orders are rolled in tissue paper inside a rigid cardboard tube. Framed prints are wrapped in tissue, corner-protected, and double-boxed.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes — we ship to most countries worldwide. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address.

Quality & Returns

What is the print quality?

Every print is produced at 300 DPI using 12-colour archival pigment inks on 280gsm heavyweight fine art paper. The same process used by professional photography studios and art galleries.

What if my order arrives damaged?

Take a photo of the damage and email us at hello@pictoor.com. We will reprint and reship at no charge, no questions asked.

Can I return or exchange my order?

Because each print is made to order and personalised, we cannot accept returns for change of mind. If there is a defect or damage in transit, we will always make it right.
